Taylor leads SmartVest’s overall strategy, acquisitions, and portfolio growth across Texas. As CEO, he oversees firm-wide operations, capital deployment, and long-term vision, working closely with partners, investors, and the management team to drive disciplined execution and durable performance. 

Taylor holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Texas Tech University. Taylor launched his real estate career working closely with institutional investments and has since been directly involved in deploying over $150 million in real estate transactions

Ryan Lin leads SmartVest’s financial strategy, analytics, and reporting functions, supporting disciplined decision-making across the property management and investment platform. As Chief Financial Officer, he oversees financial controls, portfolio analytics, valuation support, and data-driven insights that guide operational performance and capital allocation.

Ryan holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from The University of Texas and brings over 15 years of experience across real estate valuation, appraisal, data systems, and consulting. He is a State Certified General Real Estate Appraiser and holds the MAI designation from the Appraisal Institute.

As Chief Operating Officer, Christopher leads the company’s property management division overseeing day-to-day operations and portfolio execution. He works closely with operations to drive operational efficiency, leasing velocity, and ensure consistent performance across all assets.

A proud graduate of Prairie View A&M University, Christopher is an alumnus of the Panthers football program, where he played from 2015 to 2017. His background in athletics fostered a strong work ethic, discipline, and team leadership—qualities that now define his approach to managing assets and building value for clients.

Dayan is responsible for overseeing client and owner relations within SmartVest Property Management. Where she oversees tenant support communications, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations and consistent service across all managed assets.

Lando Duarte leads leasing operations for SmartVest’s Waco portfolio, overseeing on-site leasing activity, tenant relations, and unit-level execution across assigned assets. As Regional Leasing Manager, he works closely with property management and operations teams to drive occupancy, reduce vacancy, and support stable cash flow through hands-on leadership and strong local market knowledge.

As the Regional Maintenance Manager for Houston, Larry directs the maintenance strategy across SmartVest’s diverse local portfolio. He is a hands-on leader dedicated to operational excellence, specializing in optimizing preventative maintenance systems and streamlining vendor performance. His mission is simple: preserve long-term asset value through disciplined standards, rapid response times, and a commitment to resident satisfaction.
